Tony Best

It is with great sadness that I have to announce the death of my wonderful father, Tony Best. Last night with Mum, Beverley and I by his bedside he gently drifted off to sleep. We have been overwhelmed by all the love, support and prayers received during his short 1 month battle with cancer. Thank you to the wonderful caring doctors, nurses and hca’s at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. Dad you were the only man in our lives who has never ever let us down, the boys, my son Thomas and Bev’s Fiancé John, are ready to look after us. I will always love you xxxx xxx Lynne Best (29th January 2018)

The Lazyacre show tonight (29-1-2018) will go ahead…

A message from Tony

Hi Everybody,

Welcome to my website.

Last year, 2016, was a very special year for me, for it is my first full year since I became officially retired, and free to do all those things I previously didn’t have time to do. Now, in 2017, I’m still learning how to be retired and how to relax without pressures of work.

In this website you will find details of the things which will be keeping me occupied as a “Gentleman of Leisure,” including information on what has been my hobby for over 39 years, Lazyacre Country Music Club” here in Shrewsbury.

You will also find details of what CD’s I have available, and we are very excited to be able to offer the result of the efforts which took up most of my time for the second half of 2015, my personal autobiography, entitiled “THE BEST 80 YEARS” which was published to coincide with my 80th birthday at the beginning of March 2016.

Thanks for taking the time to visit the website. I hope you find it of interest.

Best wishes,

Tony
